Monadenium magnificum, from Tanzania, has a spiny stem that arises from a woody caudex. The leaves large, pale green, and nicely marked, and the main rib on the underside of the leaves is heavily spined. The cyathia and peduncles are a rich red, which makes this Monadenium appropriately named. We offer rooted cuttings of flowering size in 5-inch pots.
